Community Bank has promoted David Schalk to commercial banking group manager in New England. In his new role, Schalk will be responsible for managing the Vermont and Massachusetts commercial lending teams.
Schalk joined Community Bank in 2021 as a relationship manager. He previously worked at People’s United Bank for 34 years as vice president of commercial real estate finance.
“David’s dedication, experience and commitment to this organization and our commercial banking customers will contribute to the success of our division,” President of Commercial Banking Matthew Durkee said. “As we look to grow and expand in new markets in the New England region, David will be a significant part of that effort as he works closely with our internal team, and we’re excited to watch him grow and succeed in this new role.”
