Comcast, the nation’s leading provider of cable, entertainment and communications products and services, today announced that Andy McCarthy has been promoted to vice president of engineering and technical operations for the Western New England Region, which comprises Vermont, Connecticut, Western Massachusetts and the Carmel, New York area. In this role, McCarthy will oversee the engineering planning and development and deployment of new products throughout the region while also working to ensure the reliability and resiliency of Comcast’s converged fiber-optic network. He is also responsible for the region’s technical operations, including construction, advanced technical support and overall system integrity.
