UVM Home Health & Hospice president announces she will step down Jan 1

Adrianne Johnson Ross, president and chief operating officer at the University of Vermont Health Network's Home Health & Hospice, has announced she will be stepping down from her position on Jan 1 after six years in various leadership roles at the organization.

Christine Werneke, who has been serving as acting president since October when Johnson Ross began a leave of absence, will continue in that role as the search for a permanent replacement begins.

During Johnson Ross's tenure, Home Health & Hospice became an increasingly integrated and essential component of the region’s health care delivery system, providing high-quality and high-value care, even as it navigated the ongoing challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic and a national workforce shortage.

Johnson Ross will continue her tenure as an adjunct professor at the University of Vermont College of Nursing and Health Sciences.
