The White River Junction Veterans Affairs Healthcare System recently welcomed Kelley Saindon as associate director of nursing and patient care services. Saindon joined the Department of Veterans Affairs in 2001 as a nursing assistant at the VA Bedford Healthcare System, where she served for 21 years before transferring last year to White River Junction.
"Kelley is a champion for safe and excellent care," said Dr Brett Rusch, executive director of WRJ VA. "She is passionate, full of knowledge from experience and a fierce advocate for veterans and the nursing profession."
Saindon’s tenure includes a diverse work history in nursing informatics, geriatrics, and hospice and palliative care. She moved into administration as nurse manager of the Inpatient Hospice Unit from 2015-2017. She serves as board director of the Nurses Organization of Veteran Affairs and is an active member of the Academy of Health Care Executives.
Saindon is a graduate of Rivier College in New Hampshire and holds a master's degree in nursing from the University of Phoenix and a doctorate of nursing practice from UMass Lowell.
