Community Capital of Vermont (CCVT) welcomes two new members to its Board of Directors and has elected four members to its executive committee for Fiscal Year 2021.
Patricia Sears, President, and CEO of NEKTI Consulting in Lowell, leads the board as President. Tyler Richardson, Operations Director of Rutland Economic Development Corporation, is Vice President. Mary Chevalier, Community Investment Analyst with Evernorth (formerly Housing Vermont) in Burlington is Treasurer, and Heather Hurlbert, Director of Housing & Community Facilities Programs at the Vermont Community Loan Fund in Montpelier, is Secretary.
The organization welcomes new board members Ronda Berns of Ronda Berns Sales Consulting & Coaching in Stowe, and Monique Priestley, Vermont Project Manager for COVID Business Recovery of The Center for Women & Enterprise Vermont in Burlington. Other current board members include David Chevalier, Consultant with Chevalier Consulting Group in Shelburne, and Nate Messier, Senior Consumer Loan Underwriter of VSECU in Barre.
The organization bids farewell with much appreciation to former President Ela Chapin and board Vice President Kate Whelley McCabe.
CCVT is a statewide, nonprofit community-based lending organization that provides flexible business financing and assistance to underserved businesspeople and new entrepreneurs. CCVT loans range from $1,000 to $100,000 and may be used to start or grow a business.
