Burlington, VT -- CCTV Center for Media & Democracy announces that Karen Wingate, of Colchester, has been elected president of its board of directors. Wingate, a Contract Specialist for Tetra Tech ARD, in Burlington, joined the board two years ago and recently served as treasurer.
CCTV Center for Media & Democracy, founded in 1984, operates Channel17/Town Meeting TV (regional government access TV provider), CCTV Productions (producer of video programs and live web-streaming of events) and CommonGood Vermont (nonprofit capacity builder).
CCTV's other board members are Art Bell, Linda Bogardus, Katie Elmore, Richard Kemp, Michael McNamara, Richard Parlato, Mark Perkell, Helene Rondeau, Steve Shepard, Jane Van Buren and Beverly Wool.
