Benton elected president of newly launched NAWIC Vermont chapter

Nicole Benton, project manager at ReArch Co. in South Burlington, has been elected president of the newly launched Vermont chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction, a national organization that provides professional-development, education, networking and leadership-training opportunities for women in the construction industry.

Benton, along with her ReArch colleagues Heather Fontaine, assistant project manager; Sarah LeClair, project engineer; and Majken Poley, project manager, played a crucial role in establishing this chapter.

"The resurgence of the Vermont chapter for NAWIC will provide Vermont's construction industry with much-needed awareness, enthusiasm, leadership and camaraderie," Benton said. "It's no secret that the skilled trades and construction industry have been struggling. Local chapter associations will help bring life back to the industry and bring newer and younger talent to the table for years to come."
