Attorney Hope joins Langrock Sperry & Wool as associate

Langrock Sperry & Wool, LLP is pleased to announce that Katherine W Hope has joined the firm as an associate after clerking for two years with the Vermont Trial Courts. Her practice focuses on the needs of families as their lives intersect with the legal system, concentrating on estate planning, parental rights and responsibilities, and residential real estate transactions. She will be based in Langrock’s Middlebury office.

Prior to her legal career, Katherine taught in cooperative preschools and nursery schools in New York City. She also founded a non-profit project that built gardens on school grounds in Brooklyn and Manhattan, and ran programming for students in those gardens.

“Working previously as a teacher, Katherine demonstrated compassion and honed her listening skills—attributes that we and our clients highly value,” said Peter Langrock, Senior Partner.

A graduate of Vermont Law School (J.D., 2018), Brooklyn College (M.S., 2012), and University of Pennsylvania (B.A., 2005), Katherine is admitted to state courts in Vermont, and is a member of the Vermont Bar Association.

Katherine resides in Addison County and, in her free time, she enjoys cooking, gardening, running, and exploring the Green Mountain National Forest.
