Every year the Times Argus sponsors their Best of the Best awards. This year under the Best category of "Heart of Vermont" VT Republican Chair Pat McDonald was named the Best Public Personality or Politician.
In the announcement the Times Argus noted that "Patricia McDonald has served Central Vermonters in a number of capacities over the years, including Secretary of the Agency of Transportation, selectboard member, state representative, and now, she is chairwoman of the Vermont Republican Party. Her dedication to public service earned her Best Public Personality or Politician, and maybe it's because of her positive thinking, after all, her campaign slogan, was, "Together...We can do it!"
Hearing about the award, Lieutenant Governor Phil Scott said, "Pat does a great job of bringing people together to reach a common goal, and she has a tremendous amount of energy. These traits have helped her serve Vermonters well throughout her career, and I'm glad to see her being recognized for that. We're lucky to have her working for us at the Vermont Republican Party."
