Vermont Businesses for Social Responsibility, a statewide, nonprofit business association, will honor two business leaders and three companies in Vermont for their achievements in the areas of social equity, environmental responsibility and sustainable economic development.
Awardees were selected for their achievements in championing new ideas and initiatives, leading by example, and developing successful socially responsible organizational models. Presentations will be made during the 21st annual VBSR Awards Ceremony and Dinner Oct. 5 at Zenbarn in Waterbury Center.
Individual winners are:
- Jed Davis, vice president for strategic engagement and sustainability at Agri-Mark/Cabot Creamery Co-operative, Terry Ehrich Award for Lifetime Achievement.
- Aly Richards, CEO of Let’s Grow Kids, Young Changemaker Award.
Business winners are:
- BETA Technologies, Innovation and Inspiration Award — Large Organization.
- Bee the Change, Innovation and Inspiration Award – Small Organization.
- Rainbow Bridge Community Center, Bridge Award.
“For more than 30 years, VBSR has been transforming what business looks like, how it works and who benefits,” said Executive Director Roxanne Vought. “Our members are changemakers and innovators, with impact reaching beyond the marketplace to advance leading-edge policy and practices, bolster communities, shape the Vermont brand, and fuel the social responsibility movement.”
