Stephen McElroy named Culinary Director of The Residence at Quarry Hill

LCB Senior Living, LLC (www.lcbseniorliving.com), owner and operator of The Residence at Quarry Hill (www.residencequarryhill.com) at 465 Quarry Hill Road in South Burlington, VT, is pleased to announce the selection of Stephen McElroy as the community’s Culinary Director. Stephen McElroy is deeply passionate about cooking and has vast culinary experience.

The community, which opened in July, includes Independent, Assisted and Reflections Memory Care options for local seniors.

Mr. McElroy has lived in New England for his whole life, and has developed strong skills in utilizing local ingredients and cultivating inventive culinary experiences. He holds strong family roots and looks to create a genuine and delicious experience with the food that he cooks. Mr. McElroy’s valuable practice in restaurant management alongside his passion to cook for the residents at the community will aid him in ensuring Quarry Hill’s future success.

When asked about LCB’s reputation of having superb cuisine across all of its communities, Mr. McElroy responded by saying: “I look forward to upholding and improving upon LCB’s expectation of culinary excellence, but even more so I look forward to creating a culinary experience that leaves our residents feeling part of a Quarry Hill family.”

Independent Living residents at The Residence at Quarry Hill has private apartments with a kitchenette and bath, along with the peace of mind of 24-hour security, three nutritious meals prepared and served “Anytime Dining” style on-site, fitness center, laundry and cleaning services, a full activities program, building and grounds maintenance, and a host of optional services. Assisted Living residents will have all of the above, along with assistance with the activities of daily living, including dressing, bathing medication reminders, and other services.

The community also includes LCB’s renowned Reflections Memory Care services for residents with Alzheimer’s disease and other memory impairments. In addition to offering sophisticated cognitive programming and a range of daily services, Reflections is a secure, safe environment with its own common areas, walking courtyard, and other amenities.

All programming was developed in collaboration with the Harvard Medical School and Brigham & Women’s Hospital.
