Sarah Phillips joins Vermont Community Loan Fund

Sarah Phillips, former director of the state Office of Economic Opportunity, has joined the leadership team at the Vermont Community Loan Fund as director of housing and community facilities programs.

In her new role, Phillips will oversee the Loan Fund’s lending to Vermont developers of affordable housing; collaborate with Loan Fund partnering agencies and organizations to assess community needs to provide financing for the building and rehabilitation of safe and affordable homes throughout Vermont; and manage VCLF’s newest initiative, the CTE Revolving Loan Fund.

“Sarah’s extensive career experience aligning with our work and mission make her a tremendous asset for our organization,” said Executive Director Will Belongia.

At the Office of Economic Opportunity, Phillips oversaw funding for homeless shelters and service providers, Vermont’s Family Supportive Housing program, among other initiatives. Prior posts include managing Vermont’s Community Services Block Grant and HUD Homeless Assistance Funding, and program and grants management roles at Capstone Community Action.
