Red Cross welcomes new board members

The American Red Cross of New Hampshire & Vermont is proud to announce new members to the organization’s Board of Directors for fiscal year 20, beginning their 3-year terms:

Christa Corzatt (NH) Vice President of Human Resources for Fidelity Investments, joined the Board of Directors in November. She brings to the role a high level of leadership and organizational expertise. At Fidelity Investments, Mrs. Corzatt serves as a Senior Talent Partner that develops and advances talent management priorities including executive and leadership development, growth and mobility practices, organizational effectiveness and leadership coaching. She is a member of the business-line executive team.

Eric Gagnon (VT), Assistant Dean for Facilities Administration and Planning in the Larner College of Medicine’s Dean’s Office at the University of Vermont, joined the Board of Directors in November. He has held a variety of financial and administration positions in the college for the past eighteen years. In addition, he is an active member of the Vermont Army National Guard where he holds the rank of Colonel. In his current assignment as Commander of the Garrison Support Command, he oversees a diverse variety of units spanning the aviation, band, cyber, emergency response, medical, military police, public affairs, and range operations specialties. Eric has a BA in Biology and History from UVM; a M.Ed. in Higher Education Leadership and Administration from Norwich University; and a Master of Strategic Studies degree from the U.S. Army War College. He lives in Shelburne with his wife Jennifer, two daughters, and two Airedale Terriers. In their spare time, Eric and his family enjoy exploring the outdoors.

Kate McInnis (VT) is the Organizational Development Manager at Marathon Health. She designs and leads leadership and team development programming across Marathon Health’s health centers and corporate teams. Kate has a Masters of Science and PhD in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. Kate is a recent Vermont Rising Star Top 40 under 40 recipient. Kate’s recent volunteer involvements include United Way of Northwest Vermont (Evaluation Committee), Burlington Parks and Recreation, Chase Away Canine Cancer 5K (Planning Committee), Association for Talent Development-Vermont Chapter (board member), and Burlington Sunrise Rotary. Kate lives in Burlington VT with her husband Kurt and two Spanish galgo dogs Chela and Javi.

Emily Manire (NH) is currently the Executive Director of Nashua Center, an organization serving children and adults with developmental disabilities and delays or with a traumatic brain injury. Prior to Nashua Center, Emily worked at Gateways Community Services in Nashua for 10 years as the Senior Director of Quality and Community Relations. Emily has her Masters in Social Work from Boston University, School of Wheelock, and attended Hamilton College to obtain her Bachelor's degree. Emily lives in Mont Vernon, NH with her husband and two young children. She grew up in Sunapee, NH and after going to school in New York and living in Boston for eight years, she settled back to her New Hampshire roots and is passionate about her local community.

Bryan A Mjaanes (VT), is the Vice President of Information Technology for Vermont Mutual Insurance Group. At Vermont Mutual, Bryan is accountable for defining and delivering IT strategy and capabilities across the enterprise. Bryan was born and raised in Wisconsin and is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin at Madison. He joined Vermont Mutual in 2017 and relocated to Vermont after spending 21 years at Zurich Insurance Group. At Zurich he held various IT leadership roles in the Schaumburg Illinois office as well as 3 years based in the Group headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland. He has been engaged in various charities over the last 20 years including the Make-A-Wish Foundation, American Cancer Society & Feed my Starving Children. Bryan lives in Williston with his wife Heather and three children and enjoys skiing, snowmobiling and tennis in his spare time.

David DeLuca (VT), is the Vice President of Claims for Vermont Mutual Insurance Group, a role he has held for over 16 years. Originally from Massachusetts, David moved to Vermont with his family in 2003. As head of claims, David holds the key responsibility in ensuring claims satisfaction for property and casualty claims of over 300,000 customers in the Northeast US. In addition, catastrophe response planning is a constant priority. Previous volunteer experience is with Habitat for Humanity and the Boys and Girls Clubs. David Holds a BA from Providence College, an MBA from Anna Maria College and advanced designations of CPCU and ARe from the American Institutes, among others.
