Tamara Burden, former chief risk officer at Liberty Bankers Life Insurance Co., has joined National Life Group as deputy chief risk officer. Based in National Life’s Addison, Texas, office, Burden joins the chief financial officer senior leadership team to support growth and its ongoing mission to serve policyholders.
Burden brings to National Life 22 years of actuarial experience. Prior to her position at Liberty Bankers, she was principal and consulting actuary in the financial risk management practice at Millman. Before that, she served as senior actuarial analyst at Optimum Re Insurance Co.
Burden is a graduate of New Mexico State University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in foreign languages and mathematics.
