Trace, a Vermont company utilizing blockchain technology to track and verify cannabis products, announced today the addition of Ashley Moore to its leadership team as Chief Operations Officer. Moore previously served as the State Director of Main Street Alliance of Vermont (MSA-VT) where she worked with the small business community to advance state policies that support working Vermonters and foster thriving a small business economy.

"I'm thrilled to be joining the Trace team,” said Moore. “I'm inspired by all that Trace is accomplishing for the hemp and cannabis industries and I'm looking forward to helping advance the company into the next stage."

Moore was born and raised in Rutland, Vermont and now resides in Montpelier. She graduated from the University of Vermont in 2014 and subsequently attended SIT Graduate Institute where she earned her Master’s in Sustainable Development with a Concentration in Policy Analysis and Advocacy. Moore brings her experience growing and managing a statewide organization and executing strategic vision to the Trace team. At Trace, Ashley will be aligning countless moving parts to execute Trace’s groundbreaking vision.

“Ashley brings a depth of experience operating in fast-paced environments,” said Trace CEO Josh Decatur. “Her ability to develop and meet ambitious goals and correlate complex systems into a cohesive whole is proven. We are excited to have her on board.”

Ashley’s addition to the team is the latest development in what has been an exciting period for Trace. The company recently launched its newest product - Trace Exchange – the nation’s first blockchain-based platform where hemp cultivators and buyers can connect and track their plants through the supply chain and integrate their inventory directly with the market.

Trace is a Vermont based company that provides a blockchain regulatory platform for the legal hemp and cannabis industries. Using cutting-edge blockchain technology, Trace provides a platform for businesses and consumers to verify basic information about the provenance and current state of cannabis products from seed to shelf. For decades of aspiring cannabis professionals have worked in the dark. But now, Trace is illuminating the path.
