The Vermont Professionals of Color Network recently welcomed Mimi Duong of South Burlington as outreach and member coordinator and Airon Shaw of East Thetford as part-time technical assistance and research coordinator.

Duong recently graduated from the University of Vermont with a bachelor’s degree in public communication. In her new position, she will be the network's first point of contact for BIPOC community members and oversee all of the organization's social media platforms.

Shaw is a graduate of the University of North Alabama and holds a master’s degree in restorative justice from Vermont Law and Graduate School. She is currently pursuing an MBA, with a concentration in marketing, at Rivier University. In addition to her work with the professionals of color network, Shaw serves as executive director for the Cohase Chamber of Commerce in the Upper Valley.

“VT PoC was built on the strength of the collective, and both Mimi and Airon have critical roles for our organization as we continue to grow,” said Weiwei Wang, the network's co-founder and director of operations and development. “Mimi brings incredible skills and experience around communications and marketing, and Airon has a background in both legal and business development. We are so excited as an organization to have Mimi and Airon join us.”
