Bruce Foust, Senior Vice President and Business Banking Manager for Merchants Bank, today announced the appointment of Marsha Wimble as Vice President and Business Banking Officer. Wimble will be serving the Barre, Northfield, Waterbury and surrounding areas.
"I am delighted Marsha has joined Merchants," expressed Foust. "Having lived and worked in the Barre and Northfield area since 1993, she is a well-known, experienced and respected banker. She will make a strong contribution to the Merchants team and be of great value to our customers."
Wimble brings to Merchants over twenty years experience with Chittenden Bank in a broad range of positions. Most recently, Wimble served for ten years as the Market Manager of the Chittenden Bank Barre branch. Prior to her work in Barre, Wimble held a variety of customer-service oriented positions, increasing in responsibility from Trust Assistant, Customer Service Supervisor, Branch Operations Officer, Assistant Branch Manager on to Market Manager.
Wimble holds a BS from the University of Vermont. She has also completed banking studies at the New England School of Banking at Williams College, the American Institute of Banking and the Northern New England School of Banking.
Wimble is also very active within the community and currently holds the position of Treasurer of the Altrusa International Club of Barre. She has also served as Secretary of the Barre Lions Club and as a member of the Barre Downtown Economic Restructuring Committee and the Green Mountain United Way Finance Committee.
