Green Mountain Council, Boy Scouts of America has new Scout Executive

Council Executive Board President, Paul Hudson, has announced that Ed McCollin has been selected as the new Scout Executive for the Green Mountain Council headquartered in Waterbury, Vermont effective August 16, 2010.
McCollin most recently served as the Director of Support Service for the Bay-Lakes Council located in Appleton Wisconsin. Ed began his career as a District Executive in the Columbia-Montour Council located in Bloomsburg, PA and has also served as a Senior District Executive in Williamsport, PA and as Assistant Scout Executive in Wausau, Wisconsin. Ed brings a great deal of experience, energy, and leadership to Vermont in the areas of leadership development, fundraising, camp and property management and community relations, said Hudson. The selection committee is very pleased that Ed has agreed to join our team and lead the Green Mountain Council as its next C.E.O.”
The Green Mountain Council serves all 14 counties in the State of Vermont and serves over 5,500 youth with two Scout camps: Mt. Norris, a Boy Scout camp and Camp Sunrise, a resident Cub Scout camp.
