Casella Waste Systems announced that Chairman and CEO John W. Casella will transition to executive chairman, effective Jan. 1, 2026. President Edmond R. “Ned” Coletta will succeed Casella as CEO and join the board as a Class II director on the same date.
As executive chairman, Casella will continue to chair the board and support the company's strategic development, stakeholder engagement and organizational culture.

Coletta joined the company in December 2004 and has held several leadership positions. Before that, he co-founded and served as chief financial officer at Avedro and held a research and development engineering role at Lockheed Martin Michoud Space Systems.
