It was a beautiful day as more than 100 golfers played at the Brattleboro Country Club on Wednesday, August 5th, helping make the Brattleboro Retreat’s 10th Annual Golf Tournament a record-setting success.
With fundraising revenue marking an all-time high in the tournament’s history, the event netted over $42,000 for the Brattleboro Retreat’s programs for children.
Tournament proceeds help fund recreational opportunities for children in five different Retreat programs, including residential, inpatient, and school programs. These funds provide access to special programs including circus instruction, swim lessons, therapeutic horseback riding, soccer camp, and gardening classes. Funds also support the purchase of additional sensory materials, ipods, art supplies, books, games, bike helmets, and sporting equipment.
This year’s Platinum Sponsors were The Richards Group and Sodexo. Tournament Gold Sponsors were Communicators Group; Downs Rachlin Martin; The Melanson Company; Netsmart; WKVT radio; and WTSA radio.
