BioTek names general manager for their China office

BioTek Instruments, Inc., a global leader in the development, manufacture and sale of microplate instrumentation for drug discovery and life science solutions, has named Mr. Danny Luo as General Manager of BioTek's China office. Mr. Luo's responsibilities as General Manager include growing and maintaining BioTek's strong brand and revenues in the Chinese market, conformance of controls within governmental, legal and regulatory guidelines, and managing personnel. Additionally, he will liaise with BioTek's senior management to execute the company's strategic plan, identify market requirements and emerging trends, and optimize product and service levels in the Chinese market.

Danny Luo's excellent performance over the past few years made him the obvious choice for the position."
Mr. Danny Luo joined BioTek Instruments in 2006 as the Marketing Manager for China and Hong Kong with responsibility for all local marketing and brand development. Mr. Luo played a key role in developing BioTek's market presence in China and Hong Kong by introducing specialized collateral materials, actively driving channel development, and creating ongoing training and support systems for customers and distributors. In addition, he played a key role in developing BioTek's localized web site (www.biotekchina.com.cn).
Prior to joining BioTek, he worked at Gene Company and later served as Product Manager at Roche Diagnostics. Mr. Luo holds two degrees from Nankai University, China and has extensive experience in marketing and sales, and business development in both academic and IVD market segments. Mr. Luo will be based out of BioTek's Beijing office.
