Mortgage Financial, Inc. is pleased to announce that Mark Chaffee, Vice President of Mortgage Financial, Inc. has been named one of the top 50 Mortgage Originators in the nation in 2009 by the leading mortgage industry publication, the Scotsman Guide. Mr. Chaffee achieved this professional distinction by closing more than 375 loans last year Chaffee is the only named Vermonter out of more than 250,000 mortgage professionals in the country.
A native Vermonter, Chaffee grew up in Essex Junction and graduated from UVM with a degree in Business Administration. He has been active in the mortgage industry for close to two decades, serving as Vice President of Mortgage Financial, Inc. since 1993. Chaffee is a founding member of the Vermont Mortgage Bankers Association and has served as both an Officer and Board Member. Chaffee is a certified Mortgage Professional (CMP) with the Vermont Mortgage Bankers Association, and a Registered Mortgage Advisor (RMA) with the International Association of Registered Financial Consultants. (Less than 1% of all mortgage officers nationwide have received the training necessary for this designation.)
Chaffee opened the Vermont Office of Mortgage Financial, Inc. in Colchester1993. Since then, the company has consistently been one of the largest independent lenders in the state. Chaffee credits his success with his simple but straight forward approach to lending: provide sound advice and create strong and lasting relationships with clients and communities.
