Vermont Community Foundation fills two leadership positions

The Vermont Community Foundation in Middlebury has filled two leadership positions with the hiring of Nancy Rowden Brock as vice president for finance and Holly Morehouse as vice president for grants and community impact.

Rowden Brock brings over 30 years of diverse experience in finance, leadership and management to the foundation, having served as chief financial officer of nonprofit organizations as well as publicly traded and private companies in Vermont. She has also held board of directors positions at several entities.

Morehouse joins the organization with more than 20 years' experience in project management, community-based decision-making, collaborative processes, youth development and program leadership. Most recently, she served as the founding executive director of Vermont Afterschool, where she grew the organization over the last 13 years into a state and nationally recognized leader in the areas of youth development, out-of-school programming, social emotional learning, youth voice and professional development.

“We are incredibly fortunate to have two experts in their respective fields who bring knowledge, experience and a commitment to making a difference to our organization,” said Dan Smith, president and chief executive officer of the foundation. “Both in their day-to-day roles and as members of our leadership team, I look forward to working with Nancy and Holly as the Community Foundation looks to increase its impact in our wonderful state.”
