Vermont Electric Power Co. has appointed Karin Chamberlain to its board of directors and promoted Cheryl Mullins to vice president and chief human resources officer.
Chamberlain, director of impact investing at Clean Yield Asset Management, brings to the board a wealth of experience in sustainable investment and community engagement. She is responsible for developing and implementing Clean Yield’s impact investment strategy, focusing on alternative investments in regenerative agriculture, renewable energy social justice and racial equity in Vermont and beyond.
In her new role, Mullins, who previously served as senior director of human resources, will continue to spearhead initiatives that foster a collaborative, innovative and highly engaged work environment. Prior to joining VELCO, Mullins was HR director at Middlebury College.
"Karin's background in sustainable investment adds valuable perspective to our board, and Cheryl's 40 years of experience in human resources management make her an excellent addition to VELCO’s officer team," board chair Larry Reilly said. "We welcome them both, and are confident that their unique and collective contributions will strengthen VELCO’s performance and advance its strategic vision for a brighter energy future.”
