Engineering Ventures is very pleased to announce the addition of two new Project Engineers. Mark DeCrescente, P.E. joins the civil engineering staff in the Burlington, Vermont office and Miles Stetson, P.E., a structural engineer joins the Lebanon, New Hampshire staff.
Mark DeCrescente has a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Delaware and contributes 9 years of civil engineering experience. Mark is from the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area and worked for most of his career in that area in private engineering consulting. Examples of Mark’s projects range from commercial and institutional developments to residential subdivisions. Mark has experience in providing stormwater management, erosion and sedimentation control, site grading, sanitary sewer and other utility design for various types of developments. Mark is currently a licensed professional engineer in the state of Pennsylvania and is in the process of obtaining his professional license in Vermont and New York.
Miles Stetson graduated from the University of New Hampshire, Durham with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, followed by completion of a Master of Science in Civil Engineering - Structural Focus. Working as a structural engineer since the beginning of 2007, he completed the design of several projects in the building and hydropower industries. Miles has a passion for structural engineering and specializes specifically in those areas pertaining to structural analysis and design with steel, reinforced concrete, reinforced masonry, and timber. During his more than three-and-a-half years working as an outside technical sales representative, he developed a talent for providing excellent quality client service. Strong work and service skills were instilled in Miles from an early age, through the model ingrained in him by his family's metal fabrication business operated since 1950. Contributing to the success of local industry is very important to Miles and he feels exceptionally fortunate to not only work in a field that he enjoys, but to serve clients in the region in which he grew up. He derives a great long term. Miles is a licensed Professional Engineer in the states of New Hampshire, Vermont and Massachusetts.
