Members of the Stafford Technical Center chapter of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) attended an FCCLA Spring Leadership Conference in Bartlett, NH on March 31 and April 1, 2011. The theme of the conference was “Get Wild about FCCLA.” Students competed in STAR (Students Taking Action with Recognition) Events, presenting projects related to their work in the Human Services program. The results of these competitions are as follows:
Gold Medal: Alyssa Hartwell (RHS)– Illustrated Talk (individual); Brittany Hance (Otter Valley)– Job Interview (individual)
Silver Medal: Erin Kenny (RHS)– Chapter Service Project (team); Molly Nickerson (RHS)– Chapter Service Project (team); Emily Booska (Otter Valley) – Chapter Showcase (team); Rebecca Raymond (RHS) – Chapter Showcase (team); Amber Thornton ( Otter Valley)– Chapter Showcase (team); Nicole Greenier – Focus on Children (team); Scarlett Notte (West Rutland)– Focus on Children (team); Kellsey Quirk (Mill River)– Focus on Children (team)
Bronze Medal: Nicole Broadwell ( RHS)– National Programs in Action (team); Angela Jeffrey ( Otter Valley)– National Programs in Action (team); Gabriella Bruso (Poultney HS) – Applied Technology (team); Jared Jones ( Mill River)– Applied Technology (team); Katelynn Dorman (RHS) – Early Childhood (individual); Sara Tomasko (Fair Haven) – Early Childhood (individual).
