Richard Cassidy Re-Elected to the American Bar Association House of Delegates

Richard Cassidy, a founding partner of Hoff Curtis, was re-elected in March 2010 as the Vermont Bar Association Delegate to the American Bar Association (ABA) House of Delegates. The House of Delegates, which was established in 1936 and meets bi-annually, is the policy-making body of the ABA. Cassidy was first elected to the House of Delegates in 1998. He resigned his seat in 2005 to accept election to the ABA Board of Governors. In 2008, he was re-elected to the House of Delegates and will now serve a new term running from February 2011 through February 2013.

“It’s a great pleasure for me to represent the Vermont Bar Association in the House of Delegates. It gives me a chance to speak up for my fellow Vermont Lawyers on issues affecting the legal profession on the national scene,” said Cassidy.

Cassidy has more than 30 years experience with the practice of law in Vermont as a trial lawyer, mediator, and arbitrator. He is a frequent writer and speaker on legal topics, most recently through his blog, OnLawyering: News and Commentary on the Law and Culture of Lawyers. A South Burlington resident, Cassidy currently serves as the Chair of the South Burlington School Board.
