NG Advantage LLC has hired Greg Morse of Hyde Park, an energy risk professional certified by the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP) as its first gas supply contract manager to handle the company’s energy supply and to work closely with its customers to ensure favorable commodity arrangements.
NG Advantage was founded in 2013 and has grown to provide natural gas to 22 industrial and institutional facilities in Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and New York. During 2014, the Company delivered 1.4 Bcf of natural gas and has signed two additional customers for deployment in the second quarter of 2015. NG Advantage purchases natural gas from three different gas suppliers and anticipates adding additional sources in 2015. The increasing complexity of customers and vendors demands that the Company have a full-time professional to handle its energy buying and usage as well as relationships with customers.
Greg Morse commented about his new position, “The opportunity to build a new industry with national reach from Vermont is especially exciting. I am thrilled to join NG Advantage’s team of energy professionals at this crucial point of growth for the Company.”
Morse comes to NG Advantage from the Vermont Public Power Supply Authority where he served as Assistant Director of Power Supply & Transmission and before that from J.P Morgan Chase & Co. of New York where he served as Product Controller, Global Commodities & Currency.
Tom Evslin, NG Advantage’s CEO, praised Morse saying, “Greg Morse’s experience makes him the right person for the job. He will be able to handle the day to day work as well as create processes and procedures to enable the Company’s continuing growth. He will have responsibility for gas supply from pipeline to customer.”
