Union Mutual Insurance Company announced it has hired George MacKinnon as vice president of underwriting, effective April 1. MacKinnon has more than 30 years' experience in the insurance industry, working most recently at Patrons Oxford as vice president of underwriting. He has experience in commercial lines insurance, workers' compensation, personal lines insurance, information technology, accounting and sales.
“We are very pleased that George will be joining the leadership team of our company,” said Lisa Keysar, president and chief executive officer of Union Mutual. “He is a strategic, results-driven underwriting professional, and his technical skills and analytic perspective will be a great asset to the company.”
MacKinnon will be based at Union Mutual's Montpelier office.
