KeyBank names Ritchie director of community relations and public affairs

KeyBank has announced that Brigitte Ritchie has been named director of community relations and public affairs for the Vermont District. She is responsible for Key’s charitable giving in Vermont and providing a strong community presence and positive image for Key in Vermont. Ritchie is based in Key’s Vermont District headquarters office at 149 Bank Street in Burlington.

Prior to rejoining Key, Ritchie was director, Public Affairs and Community Investments, for Citizen’s Financial Group. She also worked as vice president and commercial real estate lender for Citizen’s Financial Group. Ritchie originally joined Key in 1991, serving as vice president and commercial real estate and small business lender.

“Brigitte’s background in community relations is vast and impressive,” said Scott Carpenter, president, Vermont District, KeyBank. “She knows KeyBank well and truly understands the needs of the communities in which we do business. She is a fine addition to the Vermont team.”

Ritchie earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration from St. Thomas Aquinas College in Sparkill, N.Y. She has also completed the Babson College Advanced Leadership Program and the ExCEL Leadership Development Program.

Ritchie lives in Williston. An active member of the community, she serves on the Burlington Business Association Board and has formerly served on the boards of the Greater Burlington YMCA, Committee on Temporary Shelter (COTS) and the Lake Champlain Regional Chamber of Commerce Workforce Investment Board. She has also managed the United Way’s loaned executive program. In 2009 she received the Lake Champlain Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Community Excellence Award and the Vermont Bankers Association Award for Excellence.
