Chittenden County RPC announces two promotions

The Chittenden County Regional Planning Commission (CCRPC) has announced two promotions to advance its mission as the principal forum for planning, policy and community development in the region.

Eleni Churchill has been promoted to transportation program manager. Following 12 years of service with the Vermont Agency of Transportation, Eleni joined the CCRPC in 2007 as a senior transportation engineer, where she has managed the regional and local corridors and circulation program, as well as multiple scoping and technical assistance projects. In her new role as transportation program manager, Eleni will be overseeing the organization’s transportation efforts

Regina Mahony has been promoted to planning program manager. Prior to joining the CCRPC in 2011 as a senior planner, Regina worked for the Town of Milton for 8 years; first as the town planner, then as the planning director from 2006-2011. In her new role as planning program manager, Regina will be overseeing the organization’s planning (non-transportation) efforts.

“This is an exciting new direction for the CCRPC,” said Andrew Montroll, Chair of the CCRPC Board of Directors. “Eleni and Regina bring a wealth of experience to these new positions, and we look forward to their leadership enhancing both the transportation and planning services of the organization.”

“These promotions are a real testament to the hard work Eleni and Regina have invested in improving the quality of life in our region. I am really looking forward to working with them in these new roles,” said Charlie Baker, Executive Director of the CCRPC.

The CCRPC provides planning and technical assistance in the areas of community development, transportation, agriculture, natural resources, housing, economic development, and emergency management to the 19 municipalities of Chittenden County and the public. The collaboration between the CCRPC, Chittenden County municipalities and other related resource agencies results in the development and implementation of plans that support sustainable development and improve the region’s environment and quality of life.
