Natália Bianchini, a Community College of Vermont student from Winooski, has been named a 2022 Phi Theta Kappa distinguished member. Distinguished members are selected for embodying the honor society's hallmarks of scholarship, leadership, service and fellowship.
Bianchini was instrumental in CCV being awarded first place for its Honors Action Project, which researched the impact of food insecurity on CCV students. She and her fellow PTK members started an awareness campaign based on their research and held a free-meals event at CCV-Winooski in April.
“I feel very grateful that PTK looked at what I’ve done and thought that I deserved to be recognized,” Bianchini said. “My work, and all the hours I’ve put into trying to make CCV a better place, have been worth it.”
