Burlington student earns top honors from Boys & Girls Club

Kali Ali, a student at Burlington High School and member of the Boys & Girls Club of Burlington, has been named 2025 Vermont state Youth of the Year — the highest honor athat can be bestowed on a member of a Boys & Girls Club in Vermont. Ali will advance to the Northeast Regional Boys & Girls Club Youth of the Year competition in New York City on June 17.

"The Boys & Girls Club of Burlington has played a huge role in shaping who I am today," Ali said. "Being chosen as the Vermont Youth of the Year is an exciting honor, and I’m thrilled for the opportunity to represent our state at the regional competition."

“Being named Youth of the Year provides introductions to people who offer new, deeply meaningful opportunities and a broadened world view," said Tanya Benosky, executive director of the Boys & Girls Club of Burlington. "The confidence and aspirations it helps to build are life-changing. I couldn’t be more proud of Kali for earning this honor.”
