Burlington College will hold its Inaugural Celebration to install Christine Plunkett as the fifth president on Saturday, April 27 at 1:30 on the North Lawn at 351 North Avenue, Burlington.
Christine Plunkett, MBA will be inaugurated in a ceremony welcoming the new leader and celebrating the past, present, and future of Burlington College. Plunkett has already directed the development of a new strategic plan and master campus plan. Renderings of the master campus plan developed with TruexCullins will be unveiled and on display at the event, sharing the vision of the use of the current campus.
The investiture of Plunkett as President of the College will take place on the North Lawn with guests and delegates from colleges and universities throughout the state. The inauguration will be conducted by Peter Langrock, Esq. with the installation of office presented by Board Chair Adam Dantzscher. Speakers will include Vermont Secretary of Education Armando Vilaseca, Vermont Economic & Labor Market Information Chief Mathew J. Barewicz, Association of Vermont Independent Colleges President Susan Stitely, and Burlington College Alumni Association Chair Lauri Brown '97.
Following the ceremony, a reception and open house showcasing the College's academic programs and community engagement will be held. Guided tours of the 1880s building will also be available.
