Allison Mills becomes development & marketing director at Burlington Emergency Shelter

The Burlington Emergency Shelter is pleased to announce the promotion of team member Allison D. Mills, now the organization's Development & Marketing Director. Mills, a Vermont resident since 2012, is highly passionate about helping the community she lives in flourish and believes that the social services play an integral role in the revitalization and sustainability of the Vermont economy.

Mills is a mission-driven professional, passionate about non-profit fund raising and outreach. “Allison Mills is a talented leader,” says Valerie Brosseau, Executive Director. “Her enthusiasm, community engagement, and commitment to our mission have truly enhanced our team.” As the Development & Marketing Director, Mills brings significant experience in donor relations, event planning, volunteer coordination, and marketing. She values the Burlington Emergency Shelter's vision to help homeless individuals toward sustainable, life-long, positive change and sees the organization as truly innovative.

Mills is a member of the Burlington Young Professionals Steering Committee and is also very active in the local music scene as a performer and as a voice instructor at St. Michael's College. She lives in Essex Junction with her husband.
