The Vermont Woodlands Association and the Vermont Tree Farm program are proud to announce the selection of David and Jenny Stoner of Craftsbury Common as the recipients of the 2017 Outstanding Tree Farmer of the Year Award. The Stoner Family Tree Farm is located in Greensboro, Vermont.

Bowl New England Inc (BNE), headquartered in Colchester, Vermont announces the addition of Travis Counter of Hinesburg as Restaurant Manager at their City Sports Grille. Counter brings a solid hospitality background and is responsible for the everyday operation of the restaurant. Counter worked most recently as a foodservice director for Flik Hospitality, of Westlake, Texas.

VTDigger has hired a community editor and a membership coordinator. Michael Dougherty has been tapped as VTDigger’s community editor. He is in charge of comment review, social media engagement and multi-media productions. Florencio Terra has been hired as VTDigger’s membership and events coordinator. Terra previously worked for Zutano Inc, the children’s clothing company.

United Way of Northwest Vermont announced today that its Board of Directors has appointed Jesse Bridges as Chief Executive Officer effective May 30, 2017. Bridges is currently Director of the City of Burlington Parks Recreation & Waterfront Department.

Shane Jacobson, a highly-accomplished and experienced development and advancement executive, has been named president and CEO of the University of Vermont Foundation. Jacobson currently serves as the vice president for development and alumni relations at Grinnell College, which is consistently ranked as one of the top 20 liberal arts colleges in the nation.
