Lise Veronneau, of Burlington, has been named the new Honorary Consul of France to Vermont. The official conveyance was celebrated in a ceremony at Burlington City Hall, followed by a reception hosted by outgoing Honorary Consul of France to Vermont from 2008-2020, Ernie Pomerleau. Mayor Miro Weinberger along with French dignitaries were in attendance to honor both individuals.

TRORC is excited to announce that we hired a new Regional Planner, Steven Bauer! Steven will be working on a multitude of projects for our towns, including zoning bylaw development, state and local regulatory issues, and natural resource management. He is focused on building relationships through collaboration across a full range of stakeholders.

Geiger, CFM, AICP has been promoted to a new position at TRORC, "Director of Planning", effective November 1st. Andrew Hoak, PE, PG, has been promoted to Director of DuBois & King’s (D&K) Environmental Services Division. Andy is a hydrogeologist and civil engineer working on dam rehabilitation and removal, stormwater, water quality enhancement, hazardous material remediation, and civil engineering, including water sourcing, slope protection, and on-site wastewater disposal systems.

The Southwestern Vermont Chamber of Commerce hosted their third golf tournament, the Fall B2B Golf Classic, on Friday, October 1, 2021 at the Mount Anthony Country Club in Bennington, Vermont.

A sunny fall day on the first of October saw ten teams, made up of 40 plus business and nonprofit golfers total, hit the greens for a shotgun start at 12:30 pm at the course.

Steven Lawrence has joined the Stowe Area Realty Group at KW Vermont-Stowe. Lawrence grew up in Stowe and Morrisville, graduating from Peoples Academy in 2004 and from Vermont Technical College in 2006 with an associate’s degree in computer engineering.
