Speaker Shap Smith has announced the appointment of Rep. Michael Fisher as the chair of the House Committee on Health Care. Rep. Fisher, the current vice chair of the committee, replaces former Rep. Mark Larson who resigned from the legislature in August to become the Commissioner of the Department of Vermont Health Access. Rep. Sarah Copeland-Hanzas will become the committee’s vice chair.

Champlain College has named Sarah Boston Andriano as Director of Undergraduate Admissions. Andriano comes to Champlain from Boston University where she was Senior Assistant Director of Admissions. She also worked in admissions at St. Lawrence University in Canton, N.Y.

Our newest exhibitor is Lynn Newcomb who works as a blacksmith/sculptor and a printmaker. Her forge and print shop are located in Worcester, Vermont. The CVMC exhibit is open from now until November 4, 2011.
