The Children’s Literacy Foundation (CLiF), based in Waterbury Center, VT, is pleased to welcome Kat Lane as our new Data/Office Manager. Kat will help us keep this small nonprofit that serves all of Vermont and New Hampshire running smoothly. She will be responsible for maintaining our donor database, managing finances, and administrative tasks around the office.

We are so excited to announce the newest addition to Animal Hospital of Hinesburg. Dr Kara Palac has joined our practice and we are delighted to have such a wonderful veterinarian join the team.

Attorney Andrea O Wright has joined the northern New England law firm Downs Rachlin Martin PLLC. Andrea joined the firm’s Labor and Employment Group in Brattleboro, Vermont in February. Andrea Wright comes to DRM after having worked at a large wholesale grocer, first in their Tax Department and most recently as In-House Counsel in their Labor and Employment division.

Karen Fortier, the manager of Brattleboro Savings & Loan’s Main Street branch, graduated from a rigorous 10-month program in collaboration and community impact from Leadership Southeast Vermont. The virtual commencement ceremony, where she and eleven other participants were celebrated for their work, was held on Thursday, June 25.

Republican Candidate for Lt Governor Scott Milne today announced that Franklin County State Senator Corey Parent has joined his campaign as Campaign Manager.

“I’m excited to have Corey join our campaign,” Milne said “Corey brings a wealth of knowledge about the issues facing Vermonters and has a proven record of reaching voters.”

The Senate Committee on Committees has appointed Sarah Mell of Winooski to serve on the Vermont Commission on Women (VCW), the state’s non-partisan commission working to advance rights and opportunities for women and girls.

Norwich University welcomed Dr Sharon Hamilton as associate vice president of strategic partnerships on July 1, 2020. Hamilton is the lead for Norwich’s Department of Defense (DOD) Cyber Institutes, and National Security Agency Center of Academic Excellence (CAE) Evidencing Competency activities, and other opportunities to expand Norwich University’s national brand.

The Two Rivers-Ottauquechee Regional Commission (TRORC) hosted its Annual Meeting joined by Commissioners and guests from across the TRO Region. The event was hosted to celebrate and highlight some of the fantastic work being done by TRORC to enhance the region’s quality of life over the past year.

Champlain College announced that Dr. Leslie Averill has been appointed Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA) for the 2020-2021 academic year. In addition to this one-year appointment, she will serve as Chief Operating Officer (COO) in a permanent capacity, phasing into that role as the year progresses.

Healing Winds is so pleased to announce that Captain Kym Ketcham has joined our growing staff as Lead Captain. Last year, Kym was one of our most dedicated captains, taking more than 100 guests out on therapeutic, uplifting sailing excursions. Kym brings a wealth of experience and a passion for showing cancer patients a good time out on his beloved Lake Champlain.
