Young people from across Vermont showcased their talent Saturday, March 30, 2013 at Saint Michael's College in Colchester as they competed in the 4th Annual Vermont HAS Talent competition. Sixty-one participants between the ages of eight and twenty-four performed in thirty-six acts to a sold-out crowd at the school's recital hall recently.

Chef Stephen Sawyer of Table 24 Restaurant in downtown Rutland has been honored as one of the country’s top culinary talents in the inaugural edition of Best Chefs America. Chef Sawyer has been showcased in a 386-page coffee table book that was released on March 1, 2013.
In addition to conferring bachelor’s degrees on several hundred students and master’s degrees on scores of others, Saint Michael’s College will confer honorary doctor of humane letters degrees on four individuals at commencement exercises at 10 a.m. on May 12, 2013, in the SMC Ross Sports Center.
