Today, State Treasurer Beth Pearce recognized student accomplishments in the Reading is an Investment program and the Be Money Wise financial literacy poster contest at a noon ceremony in Montpelier. Both statewide programs are directed by the State Treasurer’s Office.
Southern Vermont College Director of Athletics Michael McDonough announced this week the hire of Sharief Hashim to be the head coach of the newly-formed men’s basketball junior varsity team.
The Board of Trustees at Southern Vermont College appointed Sarah Perkins Dahl, M.D., as a new Board Member at its recent meeting. Dahl is a Vermont native and medical doctor who retired from full-time practice in 2012. She ran a solo gynecology practice in Bennington from 2005 to 2012 and prior to that worked with Green Mountain Women’s Health.
