Robin Palmer has joined furniture innovator WallGoldfinger has its communications director.

A native of Randolph Center, Palmer holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from St. Michael’s College in Colchester. She worked as a newspaper writer and editor in Vermont and Massachusetts for 15 years starting in her high school years, throughout college and beyond.

Bowl New England of Colchester, VT announces the addition of Jamie Polli as Event Planner. Polli coordinates all corporate and group events as well as birthday parties and special events for Spare Time Entertainment and its adjacent restaurant City Sports Grille. Polli worked previously as Marketing Director at University Mall, South Burlington.

Lyndon State College has named Jeremy Haskins the 2014 Outstanding Young Alumni. Haskins graduated from LSC in 2004 with a Business Administration degree with a minor in Marketing.

Lyndon State College History Professor Alexandre Strokanov was named the winner of this year’s “Best Teacher of Russian Humanities Abroad” contest. The Pushkin Institute, the foremost school for Russian language studies, along with a host of Russian governmental agencies including the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, of Culture, and of Education, sponsored the Moscow-based contest.
