Andre Raven of FedEx Express Vermont is the 1st place Straight Truck Rookie of the Year On just his first attempt, Andre earned the Vermont Straight Truck title. He also won the Rookie of the Year award. Part of the FedEx Express team based in St. Johnsbury for the past 15 years, he’s been a driver for 11 of them. During that time, he has racked up more than 1 million safe-driving miles.

Gallagher, Flynn & Company, LLP (GFC) is pleased to announce that Sarah Richards has been promoted to Partner at the firm.

Sarah graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Masters of Accountancy and a Bachelor of Arts degree. She is a member of the American Institution of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Vermont Society of CPAs.

Kevin Henry was appointed as a member of the Federal Criminal Justice Act Defender Services panel for the District of Vermont. As a panel member, Henry is appointed by the Court to represent defendants in criminal cases who are unable to afford counsel.

The Vermont Economic Development Authority (VEDA) is pleased to announce two staff promotions. Long-time Loan Officer Tom Porter has been named Senior Commercial Loan Officer, and Ann Miller has been promoted to Marketing Coordinator. “VEDA is so fortunate to have such talented people on our Staff,” said CEO Jo Bradley.

Dr. Sara Graves is joining orthopedic surgeon Dr. Mahlon Bradley at The University of Vermont Health Network - Central Vermont Medical Center Orthopedics and Sports Medicine practice. Other members of the orthopedic group include orthopedic surgeon, Dr. John Braun, and podiatrist, Dr. Kevin McNamara.
