The Vermont Manufacturing Extension Center (VMEC) has announced the results of its annual election of VMEC Advisory Board members held on December 8. The following Board members were re-elected to additional two-year terms: Dave Blittersdorf, President & CEO of All Earth Renewables, Inc.

Jennifer Robertson has joined Universal Properties Network (UPN) as Director of Lead Generation. UPN is a real estate company that provides agents with administrative support, lead generation, marketing, coaching, and training around the country. UPN currently has teams in Maine, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Florida, and Minnesota, and is continuing to expand.

Nedde Real Estate has leased the former Black Bear Inn to David and Krysta Mihaljevich. The new tenants will be operating under the name Lotus Lodge Inn, which opened in October 2015 and will be run as an Inn, Spa, Cafe and wellness center offering yoga classes, events workshops and retreats. The Lotus Lodge Inn offers slopeside accommodations at Bolton Valley Resort.

The University of Vermont Health Network – Central Vermont Medical Center welcomes J. Andrew Dreslin, MD, to the urology practice in Berlin, joining fellow urologist John Horan, MD.

The First National Bank of Orwell, a community bank serving Orwell and Shoreham, Vermont and surrounding communities since 1863, today announced the appointment of Bryan S. Young, age 38, as Chief Executive Officer, effective January 1, 2016. He succeeds his father, Mark S. Young, age 62, who has served as the chief executive since 1979.

Vermont Information Technology Leaders, Inc. (VITL) has named Gregori Somoff, CPA, as its new accounting manager. In this position, Somoff is responsible for all aspects of the accounting system for VITL, including invoicing, collections, payables, treasury, financial controls, and financial reporting.
