Kingdom Trails, Burke Mountain Resort, and local businesses join forces to welcome Canadian visitors

VermontBiz Kingdom Trails, the world-renowned, community-based mountain biking trail association in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom, in partnership with Burke Mountain Resort and participating local businesses, is proud to announce Canadian Community Month. Part of the shared "Cross the Border. Discover the Kingdom." campaign, this month-long celebration recognizes the enduring contributions Canadian visitors have made to the Kingdom Trails community since the organization's founding in 1994.

Now through August 6th, Canadian dollars will be accepted at par with U.S. dollars for annual and day memberships purchased in person at the Kingdom Trails Welcome Center. Canadian riders who purchase an annual membership during the month will also receive a complimentary guest day membership to share with a friend or family member.

Current Canadian annual Kingdom Trail members are included in the celebration as well. Canadian annual members who visit the Welcome Center with a guest during July will receive a complimentary day membership for that guest.

Burke Mountain Resort will be accepting Canadian currency at par for lift tickets and bike park season passes with proof of Canadian residency. The resort is also offering 20% off lodging at the Burke Mountain Hotel for Canadian guests presenting proof of residency at check-in, as well as 20% off Transition rental bikes from the Bike Park.

In addition, several area businesses have joined Kingdom Trails and Burke Mountain in welcoming Canadian visitors with a range of offers, including rider-focused lodging discounts, farm and countryside stays, boutique inn promotions, cabin and vacation rental specials, restaurant and café offerings, farmstand savings, and retail discounts from locally owned shops that reflect the character of the region. Full details on participating businesses can be found on the Kingdom Trails website.

"Canadian riders have been part of the Kingdom Trails story since the very beginning," said Georgia Gould, Executive Director of Kingdom Trails. "There’s a shared connection here through a love of outdoor recreation, stewardship, and exploration that has always defined this place. We’re grateful for the continued support of our Canadian visitors, and we look forward to welcoming both new and returning riders to experience everything Kingdom Trails and the Northeast Kingdom have to offer."

The celebration comes during an exciting season for Kingdom Trails, as the organization continues to invest in trail maintenance, stewardship, and rider experience, including the addition of three new trails this year.

The at-par exchange rate is available for memberships purchased in person at the Kingdom Trails Welcome Center and does not apply to online purchases.
