Local businesses, alumni, families, and community members come together for boarding school's largest annual fundraiser
Vermont Business Magazine Rock Point School, an independent boarding and day high school in Burlington, hosted its 28th Annual Wiffle Fest on Saturday, June 27, bringing together alumni, families, staff, community members, and local business partners for a full day of friendly competition and fundraising.
The annual 2-on-2 wiffle ball tournament raised more than $34,000 to support educational programming and student opportunities at Rock Point School, breaking the fundraising record for the event.
"For 28 years, Wiffle Fest has reflected what Rock Point is all about: relationships, belonging, and people coming together to make a difference," said C.J. Spirito, Head of School at Rock Point School and founder of Wiffle Fest. "We are incredibly grateful to every participant, sponsor, donor, volunteer, and spectator who made this year's event possible.”
In addition to individual donations, 11 Vermont businesses sponsored this year's event, helping underwrite tournament expenses while supporting Rock Point School's mission of helping students become their best selves.
Field Sponsors included Acme Glass Co., Advance Sprinkler Systems, O'Brien Electric, and Sorrel Construction Management; Team Sponsors included Alderson Environmental and Paul Frank & Collins; Strike Zone Sponsors included The Schoolhouse Learning Center and C&M Cleaning; and Wiffle Spirit Sponsors included CX Associates, G-V-V Architects, and New England Floor Covering.
