Vermont Business Magazine Mountain resort operators Bear Den Partners have announced the appointment of Hannah Barrego as Executive Vice President of Strategy, Operations and Integration, a leadership position focused on strategic execution and operational alignment across the company’s portfolio of mountain destinations.
Barrego will work closely with resort leadership teams to strengthen organizational effectiveness, advance strategic initiatives, and build the systems that support long-term success across the company's resorts.
Barrego joins Bear Den Partners with nearly two decades of experience in the ski industry spanning resort operations, organizational strategy, and business integration. She most recently served in senior leadership roles with Alterra Mountain Company, including Vice President of Integration.
She began her career in resort operations at Steamboat Resort, where she spent more than seven years building a strong foundation in on-the-ground leadership. Throughout her career, she has held roles at both the resort and enterprise levels, partnering with executive teams to strengthen organizational effectiveness, align operating models, and support long-term, sustainable growth across mountain resort businesses.
"Hannah brings an exceptional combination of strategic leadership, operational expertise, and boots-on-the-ground mountain resort experience," said Jon Schaefer, CEO of Bear Den Partners. "She has a proven ability to align teams, turn vision into action, and build the systems that support long-term success. As Bear Den continues to evolve, Hannah will play a key role in strengthening our resorts while helping preserve the unique culture of each one."
“As a New Hampshire native, my family and I are thrilled for the opportunity to return to New England,” said Barrego. "What excites me most about Bear Den Partners is its commitment to empowering local leaders. The best resorts are built by people who know their teams, guests, and communities better than anyone. I'm excited to help create the alignment, tools, and support that enable our resort leaders to thrive while preserving the unique identity that makes each destination special.”
