Vermont Agency of Commerce & Community Development has announced that Shelley Pembroke is the winner of a 2026 Public Service Recognition Week award. Pembroke, a Digital Marketing Specialist for the Vermont Department of Tourism and Marketing, has been recognized by both her peers and agency leadership for her courage, bravery and determination in leading ACCD's digital accessibility team. She was honored as a recipient of the State of Vermont's Public Service Recognition Award, which recognizes state employees who demonstrate exceptional public service and contribute to operational excellence.
Recognizing a need and stepping up to help her teammates succeed seems to come as second nature to her. We thank Shelley for her leadership on the incredibly important topic of accessibility, and we see, appreciate, and celebrate all that she brings to the Agency every day!
Pembroke She manages digital strategy, maintains websites, coordinates email campaigns, and writes for the state's official relocation and tourism platform, ThinkVermont.
About the Award
The State of Vermont Public Service Recognition Awards are awarded annually to classified state employees who exhibit outstanding dedication, strategic thinking, resilience, and teamwork across various departments and agencies. State employees nominate their peers, and final selections are made by the appointing authorities for an official honors ceremony held in the spring.
