CCV to keep tuition level

Vermont Business Magazine The Community College of Vermont (CCV) has announced that tuition for the 2027/2028 academic year will remain flat. At $290 per credit for in-state students, CCV offers the lowest tuition in Vermont.

“Access has been CCV’s north star for more than 50 years,” said CCV President Joyce Judy. “In an extremely challenging economy for students and families, holding tuition flat reflects our deep commitment to ensuring that all Vermonters have the opportunity to continue their education and gain the skills and knowledge they need for Vermont’s high-demand jobs.”

CCV’s commitment to access is the driving force behind multiple low- and no-cost tuition programs, including the 802Opportunity program, administered by the Vermont Student Assistance Corporation (VSAC), which provides free CCV tuition to Vermonters with a household income of $100,000 or less.

Vermont’s Free Degree Promise offers a free CCV degree to students who complete the state’s Early College program at CCV and continue for a second year. The program is generously supported by the J. Warren & Lois McClure Foundation. Multiple scholarships are available, including specific funds for single parents, early childhood educators, veterans, and students facing unexpected and challenging situations that might otherwise derail their education.

The tuition rate for the 2027/2028 academic year was approved at Monday’s Vermont State Colleges Board of Trustees meeting.
