Funding available for organizations in the NEK through the Northeast Kingdom Fund

Vermont Business Magazine Grants are now available for organizations and projects in Caledonia, Essex, and Orleans Counties through the Northeast Kingdom Fund at the Vermont Community Foundation. The fund awards grants of up to $5,000 to support projects that benefit the people and communities of the Northeast Kingdom. Priority will be given to projects that have emerged from the local community and/or respond directly to community needs.

Nonprofits, schools, and grassroots organizations are encouraged to apply. Applications will be accepted through 5 p.m. on Tuesday, July 21, 2026.

The Northeast Kingdom Fund was established in 2011 by the Vermont Community Foundation and local partners as a permanent philanthropic resource supporting the people and communities of Caledonia, Essex, and Orleans Counties. Visit vermontcf.org/nekfund to learn more and apply.

The Vermont Community Foundation was established in 1986 as an enduring source of philanthropic support for Vermont communities. A family of more than 1,000 funds, foundations, and supporting organizations, the Foundation makes it easy for the people who care about Vermont to find and fund the causes they love. The Community Foundation and its partners put nearly $80 million annually to work in Vermont communities and beyond. The heart of its work is closing the opportunity gap—the divide that leaves too many Vermonters struggling to get ahead, no matter how hard they work. The Community Foundation envisions Vermont at its best—where everyone can build a bright, secure future. Visit vermontcf.org or call 802-388-3355 for more information. Give where your heart lives.
